How to Sell Us Your Records
At fanático, we focus on a carefully curated, limited-stock selection of records. Because of that, we don’t do blind bulk buys. Instead, we review lists and hand-pick records that fit the store.
Here’s how the process works.
1. Sharing Your Records With Us
1.1. If you’re already selling on Discogs
If your records are already for sale on Discogs, simply share your Discogs profile with us and we’ll take a look from there.
1.2. If your records are on Discogs but not for sale
If your collection is on Discogs but you’re not actively selling, you’ll need to share a list with us.
1.3. If you’re only selling part of your collection, we recommend creating a folder in Discogs and moving the records you want to sell into it (see Discogs guidelines on folder management).
Once that’s done, you have two options:
Option 1 — Export your collection (recommended)
Export your collection here:
https://www.discogs.com/users/export?w=collection
Send us the resulting CSV file.
Let us know the name of the folder containing the records you’re offering.
You can also simply filter the CSV and remove anything you’re not interested in selling — it’s just a spreadsheet.
Option 2 — Share a specific folder only (privacy-friendly)
If you’d rather not share your full collection:
- Go to your Discogs collection.
- Select the folder containing the records you want to sell.
- Next to the folder selector, change Show to 250.
- In your browser, go to File → Save Page As…
- Choose Format: Web Page, Single File and save it.
- Send us the resulting .mhtml file.
If you’re selling more than 250 records, repeat this step for the remaining pages.

2. Grading & Condition Expectations
- Condition matters. Our minimum media condition is usually VG+. We may occasionally accept VG in specific cases (for example, a very minor skip right at the intro of a track). We’re more flexible with sleeves than with media.
- Please avoid including records that skip repeatedly or have major playback issues.
- If records are not graded, we’ll assume VG+ and review condition later. All records are checked again in person before finalising payment.
3. Allow Time for Review
We carefully review each submission, and this can take some time depending on workload and the size of the list. We usually can’t provide exact timeframes, so thanks for your patience.
4. Selection & Offer
We don’t buy entire collections by default. After reviewing your list, we’ll:
- Select individual records we’re interested in.
- Prepare a draft offer, based on the grading you’ve provided (or VG+ by default).
High-value items are taken into consideration, and in some cases we’re open to consignment. This is handled case by case.
5. Agreement & Payment
If you’re happy with the draft offer:
- You can bring the records to the store.
- We’ll double-check grading in person.
For smaller collections, payment is wrapped up on the spot once condition matches the agreed grading.
For larger collections, we may ask for extra time to check everything properly. In that case, we’ll arrange a deposit, and final payment once the review is complete.
If there are condition discrepancies, we’ll always discuss them with you before proceeding.
6. A Few Things to Keep in Mind
- Please only submit records you’re genuinely committed to selling and that play properly.
- We’re buying in bulk, so prices won’t match selling records one by one yourself.
- If you have a particularly valuable record and want to maximise its price, you may be better off selling it privately.
